Wonderful Racine Wisconsin

I bought a house last fall in a nice neighborhood of this wonderful city on Lake Michigan. So far.... (and we have neighborhood watch) someone tried to break into the neighbors house and yesterday, sometime between 3:30 and 5:30 in the afternoon, we had all of our lawn chairs and tables ripped off from the yard. Good thing I didn't see it. I'd probably be the one in jail for blasting some punks with my twelve gauge...

The laws now-a-days are rediculous. Law abiding citizens can't protect whats ours without worrying about being sued by a lowlife criminal and having to pay for them getting hurt and/or killed while they were doing something illegal in the first place. My view, if you are willing to steal, you are willing to accept the concequences the owner of the goods is willing to dish out, and if that is death, so be it.

Hopefully they catch the worhtless bastards that are doing this.

When I lived in kenosha...for those unfamilar with the area it's right next to Racine...we had the same sort of issues. I literally had to chain down Christmas decorations or they would "disappear". I don't miss that at all up here. Now I can leave my garage open & my neighbor will close it for me, I could leave any tools in my front yard & not 1 thing will be stolen.

However we did have a "crime wave" last year, someone stole a flowerpot from the downtown area.

I used to live in a town, sort of like that. The upside was it was in a beautiful location. A town right on the lake, not a lot of people, super nice golf course, you just have to find the beauty in some places which I'm sure you've done in Racine.

The only thing that's been stolen from my house in Green Bay is a gas can from the garage. Somebody kicked openn the side door (no deadbolt) and took the gas and a jar of change out of my car.

Has anybody ever been to Flint, MI? Don't talk about crime until you have. Unfortunately I'm planning on going to Kettering University, right smack in the middle of the a very bad neighborhood.

When my daughter lived in a little berg 10 miles from Flint we stayed in a motel there. My God!! What an absolute slimehole!! All the houses have BARS on the windows! And that's the good part of town. Good luck!!

It was a drunk that used to know someone who lived there and apparently was going to crash there for the night. The neighbor woman (lived alone) met him at the door with her huge dog and he abruptly left. And a vacant house just accross the street and down one house had two snowblowers stolen from the garage. I'm just hearing this shit now.

(And if they'd gotten into my house they'd be dead now)...
