How much do you guess for membership here?

The Landings Club - Home

6 championship courses!!! Designed by Tom Fazio, Arnold Palmer, Arthur Hills.

This is where the Georgia Senior Tournament is to be held this year. Applications start being accepted next week. I didn't get in last year, and probably won't this year either, but I'll still try.

Do you know the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? The porcupine has its' pricks on the outside.

Wow, looks awesome!

I'd guess (and I'm pulling this out of my butt) 250,000 initation, and 75,000 a year. Considering the local private here is 30,000, I'd consider it a bargain.

King Par is an unknown quantity at this point
What's so surprising? I've paid $150 for a round before, and it is most definitely worth it. There are many courses with high memberships, but it is most likely because it is very well maintained, in a very nice location or just a very nice golf course altogether.

But still who could afford that? I wouldn't waste my money on that I would buy a car or have a down payment on a house.

That's why they denied the Doc. He wanted to pitch a tent in the woods off the the 15th fwy. and live there.

The closest private to me is a gated community and golf course. You need to own a house to be a member, and the houses start in the 600 thousands. The membership is in the area of 30 large, and you also are required to spend a lot in the clubhouse restaurant. Huge status symbol to be a member. The course is supposed to be really nice, but its way too much money.

1% of the people in this country have 99% o the money. $30,000 is pocket change to them.

I'm not one of them.

Like Groucho said: I wouldn't want to belong to a club that would have me as a member.

personally couldn't afford it but its all relative, 30K isn't a huge amount for someone who might run their own business or bring a lot of clients etc out to the course...an awful lot of sales happen on course...
last company I worked for I meet one of the top account managers once(software sales) he was year in year out in the top 5, a pure closer....signed about 30% of his contacts on the 19th....

I can assure you his commision on those accounts would certainly dwarf that 30K...
