That sounds pretty close to what I was getting with the Civic. The Prelude was a big drop in fuel mileage. Although my commute to work is almost 10minutes faster in the Prelude now.

My commute isn't even 10 minutes long. Hehe.

Sling is right, Ez. I was going to tell you the exact same thing. Reset the trip odometer after you fill it. Drive half a tank off, then fill it again. Divide the number of miles by the number of gallons.

Silly boy.

Our 2005 Honda CR-V gets about 23 city, 27-28 highway cruises. Our 2006 Honda Civic gets about 28-29 city, and a legitimate 38-40 on long, relatively level cruises. We've averaged about 38+ mpg on our last 2 vacations in the Civic (not the hybrid, the conventional Civic)

Before I had the CR-V, I had a Ford E-350 Club Wagon van with a 460 V-8. It got about 10.5 to 12 mpg. Kids grown and gone....no need to keep a boat any more....glad we got rid of it before gas prices went through the roof.

My 2001 Mistubishi Montero Sport 3.5L V6 4x4: 13mpg city and 20mpg highway, as long as I don't go faster than 65 mph.

GF's 2007 Accord 3.5L V6: 20mpg city and 29-30mpg highway. What a difference a ton makes.

My 1993 Merc Cougar with 3.8 V6 gets 25-29 average while commuting which is about 75% highway and 25% city. This is using cruise control on all highway miles...if i dont use cruise control i average about 22mpg

2003 Suzuki SV650S has gotten between 52 and 58 on every fillup so far(getting lower the more i get used to it though...)

2006 Hyundai Tiburon GT 2.7 V6 gets about 25 when i drive it and 22 when the g/f drives it

I have an 00 GMC Z71. I do mostly in town driving and I get 11.5 MPG on average. It was up to 12 one time and down to 10 one time. Most of the time I check it is around 11.5.
