I'm with those who have a a very hard time believing that through all these years and through all these employees EVERY ONE of them have kept a secret. Not just any secret but a huge secret.
Also my relative is one of a handfull of people in a very high position with the Department of Defense . I know that what we see today is years behind what the government is already working on. I would say we are two versions behind anything issued. The govt. is so determined to confisate photos of what is out there because of its need to protect its military, spies, and employees. If some broke crackpot thought what he had a picture of was new military design he would most likely sell it to spying countries. If he thinks it could be extraterrestrial (due to doubt placed by govt) he probably won't go any further than the Enquirer.

They've shown interviews of nurses and military leaders from that time and all have said they were threatened by our government if they released any information. If the CIA threatened you and your family would you say anything?

Actually, that shot was taken from Apollo 8 as it circled the moon.

I think the moon landing conspiracy nuts only have a problem with people having actually landed on the moon, not with spaceships going to the moon. According to them, faking the Apollo 11 landing was a political necessity, given how close the Russians were to actually pulling off a landing.

My question is, "Why didn't the Russians just fake it first?"

Nope, Apollo 11. I was going to post the Apollo 8 earth rise picture but liked this one better.

With the technology today, you could fake the moon landings on film, but with the technology of the late 60's and early 70's I am pretty sure they could not have pulled it off and have those films and pictures not be exposed as frauds with today's ability to analyze such stuff.

Of course, today it would be next to impossible to land on the moon for the first time. The risks they took back in the 60's in the name of patriotism and to beat the Russians to the moon would not fly today as society would forbid NASA to operate in such a reckless manner. For this reason alone, I am pretty sure I will not be alive when a human being steps foot on Mars or another planet. Not that we could not do it, heck, if the money was available and NASA and associated space agencies were allowed to operate without constant bureaucratic processes in place I am sure we could put another human being on the surface of Mars within 10 years if not within 5 years.

Not ONE person slipped? I find that very very hard to believe, I don't care who threatened them with what.

If people will streak a golf tournament for attention, 30 seconds of fame, and money - don't you think they would say just about anything for TV. I believe we are capable of producing a thought or story so many times that it eventually becomes a reality in our minds. Once that happens how can you argue what someone truly believes? You don't. But did it REALLY happen in the first place?

I believe life on other planets is far more probable than anything organized religion would like us to believe. Do I think UFO's have come here and "looked around", not as much. Its out there, but we havent found each other yet. If this is a good or bad thing is yet to be determined.

If they have found other solar systems out there, like ours, and there's Ice on Mars, who's to limit what else is out there?

This is exactly why science is so feared by the biblical literalists. Science strips away the lies and the ignorance. It doesn't always reveal the truth, but at least it keeps us pointing in the right direction, and most importantly, allows us to make our own choices.
