To continue this OT freefall...

I remember when I was a kid, we got this Siamese cat that was just plain mean. We gave it to my Aunt and Uncle, who lived way way way up north in the bigfoot part of Wisconsin (by that I mean all the women had big feet, so they could walk around in the snow more easily, and...oh never mind.)

Anyway, they lived about 10 miles from another human being, and that cat never saw anyone else for years. We went up there to visit once, and "Devil Cat" only begins to describe how ferocious and frightening this cat was.

I remember hearing this incredible commotion in the backyard, running outside, and seeing that the collared cat had dragged 30 ft. of chain and a 10 lb. concrete block about 40 ft. so that it could attack a buck deer.

No joke. This cat had it's front claws dug into the underside of the deer's neck and was ripping at it with it's hind claws. I stood there in absolute amazement and watched the buck shake its head, flip the cat to the ground, then fling it about 20 ft. with its antler. The cat came BACK at the deer. The buck must have figured out how insane this cat was, as it just turned and trotted away.

I'll never forget that insane feline nightmare...

Do you know the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? The porcupine has its' pricks on the outside.

This one is a classic example of not understanding or applying cat psychology. Never, ever, EVER try to leash train a cat. I have seen some people do it, but 99% of the time, you get a situation like this.

+1 the only time a cat should be on a leash should be:

a. You're right about to hammer throw the little bastid
b. You're going to hang it from a tree
c. You have a major disorder and need to be straight jacketed for the good of society.

All of the cats we've had are leash trained. You have to do it when they are kittens...
