Europe and a new ice age?

It always baffled me how the weather in Europe could be that much different than IcelandGreenland(see, the names still work today) when they are at the same latitude....


Seems to be that the warm water from the golfGULF stream is what keeps much of Europe from becoming an entire sheet of ice.

Now, scientists are speculating that if the ice melts too much, and floods the north Atlantic with fresh water it may shut off this 'gulf stream' and the warm water would no longer flow up towards Europe. They expect Much of Europe to become extremely cold and possibly enter a new ice-age by mid century.

Which i found to be hilarious....all them smug Europeans shoveling snow in July.

Of course, this was all brought on by Global warming, which would melt the ice caps, flood the north Atlantic with fresh water messing up the gulf stream.

So...global warming causes ice-ages....

Greenland is colder than Iceland, isn't it? I thought Iceland, despite the name, was actually a very desirable climate.
