    Grandpa's back

I did get in 18 holes of golf on the way down when I stopped for the night at Kentucky Dam Lakes. Here's the view from my room. I shot a 41 on the front and a 39 on the back. About as good as I get. This morning it's 30º in Wisconsin.

Grandkids are great, looks like you have a couple good ones there.

That car would cripple me on anything longer than a 1/2 hr. drive.

It was okay for the first 3 hours. Then it turned to sh$$#*&%t. Son-in-law is a carpenter. Built that house (appraised at $450K) himself mostly for $200K. Where did I go wrong in my life???? Glad they are doing well, though.

He had the lung biopsy on Wednesday. Waiting for the results. Dr. said early views of the polyp didn't appear to be cancerous, but have to wait and see. His kidneys are still only working at 20% which is not good. Hopefully he'll get this thing straightened out. Thanks for your concern, Mont.

I will do that, JEFF. He's talking about hunting, so must not be too down about it. He's the type that just finds out what's wrong, and then deals with it. Hope it's "fixable".

I'm okay. Just starting to get to me not knowing if you're going to live or die or suffer or go fast or be tested for years or go broke with medical bills etc etc. I will say I've gotten some super treatment and had the biopsy of my lungs at one of the best hospitals in the US (St. Lukes in Milwaukee) by one of the best pulmonary surgeons in the world, Dr. Leh. I just wish the insurance paid it all....

Normally high calcium is a simple diagnosis. In 98% of ALL cases it's caused by the parathyroid glands around the thyroid gland and they just remove a few and your calcium level comes down.

I have to be the frickin 2%. Cancer raises calcium levels. They can't find a tumor or cancer.

High calcium shuts down your kidneys. Mine are running at only 20%. And I'm losing weight like mad. I'm down to 210 lbs.

And the goofy thing about all this is I feel fine. No pain at all to warn me of something wrong.
