Chocolate!

The bastards in school have cleaned out the vending machines and repalced the mars snickers etc with nurti grain bars, this whole new eat healthy bullshit, come on I work out 5 times a week, a bar of chocolate now and again isn't goin to do any harm. There talking this too far, I can't buy a bar of choclate in school anymore or even a tin of coke!

Before we know it everywhere will be selling the likes of nutrigrain bars instead of mars.

While on the subject of chocolate i'm going to get lots of it for xmas!

Lol they are but they taste like shit, a bit of fruit clunked together by some sort of soft mushy biscuit thing.

I'm pretty sure that cans are made of aluminum (al-u-mini-um), not tin.

Eat something healthy for a change. Like hot dogs.

Er, no. I'm talking prehistoric times here. You got fed in the cafeteria at lunchtime and that was IT. Oh, there was a water fountain on each floor.

Ahh, the good old days..............

Hey TM:

I know this is no consolation but the schools in the U.S. are doing the very same thing. No more fun snacks, just a bunch of "eat healthy" items.

My daughter complains about this and the school food all the time. The school food is probably really crappy.

On the other hand, kids in America are often as fat as Jabba the Hut in Star Wars because their parents take them to McDonalds and buy Supersize burgers, fries and shakes. Just a bunch of little pigs running around everywhere...

Not too be picky, but didn't McDonalds get rid of the Supersize?

We had a Coke machine in our school when I was in highschool. Just one. No one ever used it. It was a big deal if anyone ever got a drink out of it. Having vending machines and shit like that in a school is so foreign to me.

Now, at the University, that's another story. I'm pretty sure that every grad gets a 12 pack of Pepsi, in their choice of regular or diet, on top of their diploma at graduation....

In my fraternity house - we had a Beer Machine. This was in 1973-77. The machine said "Dr. Pepper" on the outside, but we loaded the entire cooler with Budweiser.

25 cents each. We bought em wholesale from the local distributor and the House Manager handled the rest.

So when you were going to load your cooler - you got a pocketful of quarters and hit the beer machine. You could hear it all the way down the hall....pop, pop, pop as the cans hit the bottom of the slot. $1.50 a six pack.

I think it was actually good alcohol management as you did not have to get behind the wheel to buy beer. On the other hand - we were only 18 when we were Freshmen....
