Okay, I have to know.

What exactly is that critter in your avatar, and is it sleeping, or eating?

That's me after Rock forced me to drink that bottle of Everclear yesterday.
Damn him. Damn him to hell. Ohh, my head......................

It's a kitten, who tried to eat the whole thing, but fell asleep before it could finish. Kinda like Rock.

Do you know the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? The porcupine has its' pricks on the outside.

Thanks, yeah, I can see a kitten doing something like that. When they need to sleep, they can sleep just about anywhere.

Siberian:

Recall the picture of the two male labs you saw in my recent post...while they are good dogs, they can be very "alpha" in their behaivor...especially around other animals...

I came home two days ago and there was a baby squirrell outside my back window...he frankly looked lost and was very small...the males were staring at it from inside...my 8 yo daughter always lets them inside.

Anyway, as I walked in, the dogs bolted through the door and one of them gobbled up the squirrel...my little one is crying about the baby squirrel and we send the dog home explaining that our next door neighbor will get the baby squirrel out of his mouth and put it up in the tree where he belongs.

Charles Darwin at work. Explain it to a mentally retarded child.

Tough call there Bravo, but it sounds like you handled it well.

I have a dog door because they were/are so many dogs. My Siberian Husky Val was the worst for bringing in dead animals, or at least they were dead when I found them on the living room rug, don't know if he killed them or not. Possum, raccoon, squirrel, rabbit. Val was always quite proud of them.

I have never, ever seen an animal that can catch chickens as quickly as my malamute. The problem is, I don't own any chickens.

My neighbors used to...

Oh, and an edit to insert a pic of my own (or two):

Just because...

I think it's amazing how much of how my dogs actions are a result of breeding .

We have quite a bit of glass on the back side of our house so we find dead birds once in a while that have flown into it. On one occasion my old golden got to one before I did so I expected him to eat it. Instead, he picked it up gently, carried it to me and layed it at my feet.

He's never had a minutes training to be a hunting dog so that has to be pure genetics. I wish I had been able to get a pic because you could see in his expression and walk how proud he was. Almost made me wish I enjoyed hunting.
