Anyone use NetFlix? - Shot Talk

sorry the "Search" function isn't working but anyone use this service? I just started to and it's the next best thing next to sliced bread for my lazy ass..just saw "Lord Of War"..so cool.

My "friend who happens to be female" has netflix. She actually just got that movie but we haven't watched it yet. Seems like a pretty good deal, especially since I don't have to pay for it.

I had it years ago, when they first went into business. Mostly good experience.

Things I did not like and why I canceled:
1- Monthly fee was too high for the number of movies I wanted to see
2- They were shipped out of California & I'm in Georgia: long transit times
3- Flimsy mailing containers led to damaged discs
4- Some discs were lost in shipment and while they eventually believed me, it took a while.

Hopefully all of these problems have been addressed and are no more.

I know they have many more distribution centers around the country now. I'm sure there is something closer to you now.

I have it and love it.

I still never receive them in time though..usually a day or two later than they say..but for the convinience it can't be beat.

I LOVE netflix. I've been a member for a long time. And they're really adding to their GOLF library these days.

I STRONGLY recommend checking out the 2002 masters hightlights. They do flyovers of the whole course! VEry cool.

I use netflix and Blockbuster online.

I also have a DVD burner......but these two things are not related in any way..........................

I get my DVD's a day after they ship with both companies. I like it a lot.

I use Blockbuster from the local store for Movies and games. They have a deal to get 2 movies at a time, or one game at a time for around $20 bucks a month. I join it about every 3 months and get 2 movies a day and a game a day to see all the new stuff.

After about 50 movies and 25 games a month, I cancel and join again a couple months later. Nothing like 50 movies for $20, you don't even feel comitted to watch the bad ones.

Netflix works well for us with no problems at all . . . they even lowered the price when Blockbuster got in the business.

Well, I signed back up with Netflix for their lowest priced plan, because there are several TV shows that I would like to watch the older episodes.

Took 6 days to get the first disc. Pretty slow in my opinion, but I will stay with it a while and see if it improves. Still better than going to Blockbuster or Movie Gallery.
