Finally completed - well almost

I posted some pics of my basement after I finished it a while back (stupid me didn't take any pics pre-finish, but I'm pretty sure everyone knows what concrete looks like)

I had to box in some sewer pipes which left a nice opening for an entertainment center. The TV opening will fit a 42" LCD perfectly and unless SWMBO will allow our HDTV from the living room to be moved downstairs to the playroom, this 27" CRT will need to do. I really don't think my 2 year old needs HDTV in the basement

Next on the agenda is a bench seat with big pillows, that doubles as a toybox and a cot. Gotta get this stuff done before golf season

Looks real nice VT.

All you need to do is put those knobs in the right place and you'll be done.

You think they'd look better centered on the doors?

No.

Rule of thumb is either in line with the top rail of the cabinet door (on a base unit) or 3 - 3 1/2 inches down from the top of the door.

It's an ergonomic thing.

Hey 2 points for getting them even though

I work in 150 or so finished new homes a year, about every tenth house has a set of knobs that are not even. These guys do it for a living, and fail to correctly install knobs, but Sling is right, do you really want to reach that far down everytime you open the cabinet.

The doors were actually pre-fab, and the holes were there. I thought about using a raised panel bit in the router (maybe next time)

It works well for now too, since my son is only 3 feet tall, and this is his room

Looks great, you got the putting green at the other end of the room?
