Talking Titanium - COR of wedding bands?

Anyone have any thoughts about going with Titanium weddings bands?

Any comments are welcome. I really like the look of Ti, all polished up. I love Tungsten too, but apparently it's not as easy to care for.

Yes, I'm a weirdo...

Its a matter of perspective

You my friend are looking at it from the inside of the club head. Thats all you have to remember, you give in she rebounds. So you have a negative COR and hers is bullet proof.

Not more than gold.

I want a platinum inlay while she wants just a plain polished band.

If I went with just a plain band too, I could buy a set of new irons without the platinum.

Wow...that puts things into perspective, eh? New irons.....platinum...

Supply and demand. Crazytalk. It's the same with diamonds. I work with a bunch of geologists, they just see it as metal and carbon.

Go with a gunmetal finish. Gunmetal's cool.

I like it, but not in jewelry. I'm not a ring guy, so I wanna go with something more classic.

($50 says I'm not wearing it 4 weeks after the wedding...)

This is sorta what I'm leaning towards (polished). Platinum inlay.

Nice looking rings.

I think I prefer the brushed.

hmmmm $50 US or $50 cnd??? I think maybe a better bet would be $50 says you wont still be married after 4 weeks if your not wearing it

(all kidding aside Good Luck and Happiness to you. Keep your priorities straight and you will be rewarded for life)

Me? I still miss both my ex's.
but my aim is getting better.

Dude, if she's willing to settle for a 50 dollar ring then my hat is off to you.

My wife is quite traditional. I dropped about 7 grand on her ring set.

Or.... you could always go with an impressive (and original) Wedding Set

I have yellow gold - it was something like 80 bucks and regret it. We already replaced the Mrs. ring with a white gold one (you already mentionned the expense of platinum).

If I had it to do all over again, (and we weren't struggling kids fresh out of college like when we got married) I'd definitely spring the couple grand for the platinum rings.

You'll have this the rest of your life - think about that.

Edit - I like the polished one better FYI

I refuse to pay more than $1000 for the entire sha-bang.

Jewelry is a status symbol, like a SUV. It's not required, yet people "think" they need them.

Would my $50 ring mean anything less to her if it wasn't worth 7000 bucks?

If it does, then you married the wrong lady, I'm sorry to say. I shouldn't "cost you" to engage in a sacred union.

A ring is a ring is a ring. It's the symbolism, not the $$$$ attached to it.

And, you know why that shit is so expensive? Because people buy them. Because they feel as tho they "have to". Total bullshit.

First of all you drive a Cayenne, so I don't know why you're still on the SUV rant.

Secondly, in my opinion it isn't about how much it costs, it's about how much you like it. That being said, I personally think that platinum looks the best, and if my wife likes it, I have no problems spending the money on it. There are lots of things that you can spend money on just for the sake of spending money, but your wedding day, and your rings are some things that you will "hopefully" take with you forever.

Hopefully, you will. My wife and I had ours made specifically for us. Hers was a gold dome band with 3 diamonds set. Mine was a plain gold band. Both were made by a friend of ours.

I lost mine on a golf course in Ft. Myers. She accidently flushed hers down a toilet.

By the way...I like the polished ring better.
