I pulled down about $3k playing online last year. I kinda got bored of it after playing so much and hardly play at all anymore. I was never good at no-limit holdem, but I lived for a nice limit game.

It helped me afford to play a ton of golf and get some good club ho'ing experience last year as well.

    Who's your.... Caddy?

  4. Even though there is good money to me taken from mugs on line I much prefer to play with real people. No limit Hold 'Em is the game for me too, stud just bores me a bit really.

I've been trying to organise a local championship but the laws in England are not condusive to this kind of thing. You aren't allowed to advertise for one!

  5. You can't win online with people cheating. There are tables of 4 waiting for 5th to join in. I usually know what a less experienced player has after the flop. More experienced players are tough for me to play against. I can never get in to take a shot at pulling a card. I got taken online and I seriously doubt it was luck as I had the second best possible hand on the turn and went all in over $200. The other player pulls a river flush when I had 1 of the cards and only 2 others were on the board. Never again!! I've never played with anyone who knew what they were doing in real life so I imagine I would be giving signals whether I knew it or not. I haven't played at all since that bad beat. I would be interested in getting a shottalk table together on partypoker or something for fun though.

I love no limit hold'em. I get to bored with the online stuff though. Got to play face to face. I got into a league last year and was is 2nd place out of 95 competitors after 13 weeks then the state shut us down.

I got a little burnt out myself and havent been playing much lately. I used to get into one or two games a week though.

I do feel for you. A bad beat will really take it out of ya.

Actually just re-downloaded pokerstars back onto my computer yesterday.

Been playing in a league (APL) for the last 6 months. Currently #1 but it's a small venue w/ only 35 players or so. The APL has a lot of good players, a lot of entry level players, and a lot of players that do nothing but chase points (by playing at a different venue every day of the week). It can't be taken seriously but it is fun and occasionally you actually get a good table with a good game.
