I just watched the whole series on DVD again for about the 4th time, it is so funny, probably one of my favourite comedy shows ever.

I'm not ot sure if you Americans will have seen it before but the UK people shouls be fimilar with it.

All the shows where made in the early-mid 90's and the main actor (Father Ted) passed away a few years ago.

What a great shame he died so young, that is one of the funniest programs there has ever been and it was going to run for a while until it happened.

Agreed; some of the episodes are pure gold !

I bought the exact same entire series off Play.com a while and have hardly watched any of it ! I am really bad for buying things like cds or magazines, and hardly using/reading them. Terrible, to be honest. Must hoke out said DVD - I could do with a laugh....

The Funniest episodes that I've seen are
1 the episode where they get stuck in the ladies underwear department
2 the episode with the bomb on the milk float.
I didn't watch many episodes but the ones I did watch were pure class.

I agree entirely on the milk float, but the little things like the scene where Mrs Doyle I trying to get down from the window and when she is trying to guess the mystery priest's name are both sheer genius.
