Tiger Woods PGA tour 2007

just got this game on xbox360 today

its a great game I must say, it might actually keep me away from the links for a while

its so realistic, you create your own golfer and he starts out exactly as you do when you start playing the game for real

but of course it is a bit unrealistic to be able to match 9 holes with Adam Scott after 15 games

but it is a good dream dammit

Does it still have that "Tiger Vision" for putting? IMO that ruined the game, made it way too easy. I had the 2006 for PS2 and beat it in like a week and a half. After you beat everyone the game is pretty useless. Playing the tournaments is just super-boring. I did like the swing control options added to the 2006 version. I think it was actually pretty good for someone to start understanding ballflight laws and how swing path, face angle and ball position affect flight.

no tiger vision for putting

putting is actually really hard and it isnt easy to judge the slopes this time around

a great new feature added (don't know if it was in 06) is you can select what angle to tilt the club face before taking your shot

I'm going to have hours of fun with this game

and another thing they've added is the crowd stands nearby and they take blows from the ball if you hit it in their direction

its pretty nifty when you hit a bad shot into the rough and someones head slows down the shot

Ha, Ha. That must be funny. Face angle huh, that's cool. I saw a GC "pro lesson" deal that had Tom Watson. He was showing how he opens the loft of his 6 and 7 iron to get a higher shot. I tried it with some success at the range. I couldn't believe the height I got on a few 5irons. Like 190 and as high as a 9iron. That will take some practice to get consistent with but good stuff. I guess there is a thing or two you can learn from a video game. I actually built a player on the 06 to try to mimick my distances and then play my own personal flights and course management, that was pretty cool.

I have '06 for PSP, it's a blast.

The Tiger Vision made games like 02 way to easy, allowing for 40s golf. As far as the new ones, I don't think many do. I wouldn't mind getting 07 when it goes down in cost though.

Yeah, I have '06 for the PSP and the regular Xbox. I may eventually buy 07, probably with '08 comes out.

Still haven't found a golf game as realistic as Links for the PC.
