Greetings from South Louisiana! Brand new golfer here. Doctor says to get a hobby and everyone I know playing golf loves it.

Last time the Doc told me to get a new hobby, I started drinking.

Then my liver told me to get a new hobby and it is golf.

Now the wife is mad.

can't make veryone happy.

Welcome to ST, I hope your Doc didn't tell you to find a hobby to relax? If so, man did you pick the wrong one, . But seriously, get some lessons so you don't develop bad habits and or swing from the get go. And realize, chances of you ever playing like you see them doing on television are slim to none.
