IIRC, I was told to just answer "Country Day". I don't know what that means either.
Well, the answeres mean that you named what high school you wnet to.

By saying Country Day, you are saying you entt to HS in the Country, and that you only went for a Day... and that you are actually from Illinois, just across the river. St. Louisans cn't particularly care for East St. Louis and the surrounding area. Except when they want to gamble. Even then the boats and casinos are better on the Missouri side anyway.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Country Day is a pricey prep school, which is (presumably) supposed to mean that it's okay for the upper class to like me.

I've had discussions about this with people who grew up in St. Louis and they are the ones who told me that St. Louis is extremely inclusive. If you didn't grow up there, it is extremely difficult to gain access to social circles. And asking what high school you went to is an easy way to pigeon-hole your social status. I can tell you that when I was in there, almost every person from STL that I met in a social setting asked me what high school I went to.

I just don't know the names of the high school or which high school equates with which social status.

Shoal Creek is a nice course I played there last year. Played Tiffany greens a couple years ago, Man that is a nice course. Today me and a buddy went to Trenton Mo and played. Started out descent with a 43 on the front 9, but ran into trouble on the back 9 and shot a 51. But I had a good day. I was over all happy with the way I played. I had a few bad holes but hey im not a Pro, im out there to enjoy the day, the company and try like hell to play golf. LOL
