How long until spring?

Cold and wet December in east Tennessee and no bowl game for the Vols. Thank goodness for college basketball.

I've really been struggling with my fairway woods (callaway x series 3 and 5 wood). Any suggestions on forgiving fairway woods or should I try hybrids? If hybrids, which ones?

It's cold and snowy here in S. ONT, although less than a week ago it was positive (singal digit) temps with rain. All the snow had melted and it looked awfully similar to a late fall day. Sadly the snow returned just a day ago and at this rate I really doubt if spring will ever return?? I'm still hopeful to be out playing by Master's weekend.

I have the same fairway woods and just love them!!! More my 5 than 3, but I trust both. My 5 wood has quickly become my go-to club over the years owning it, I use it a LOT!! What shafts do you have in them? or have tried?? Both are Uniflex steel in my bag, I have pondered re-shafting the 3 for some better results. I couldn't really recommend any newer clubs really, I would say try them all out! In my days of messing around with clubs; I've really liked the G10 frwys from PING, Adams makes some pretty cool clubs, Tour Edge Exotics is also very popular. There are so many to choose from these days its hard to pick just one. Try them all out till you find something you like!

Enjoy the search!

FW vs Hybrid

My 5W is uniflex steel and the 3W is the std callaway reg flex graphite. I have much better success with the 5W, but I can't say it's the difference in shafts. I played the Steelhead plus for a few years (3&5 with uniflex steel) and had pretty good results. I decided to upgrade/experiment. Not sure I like the change so far.

Noticed you used the FT5 driver. How do you like it?

As far as I'm concerned, spring starts in 2 weeks: Jan 17 to be exact. That's when the new eGolf Amateur Golf Tour season starts for me, with a visit to Isle of Palms Links course near Charleston, SC.
