Gday

Howdy,

Im from Australia, and have been playing the game for about 18 months. I only started using a driver about 6 months ago, and have still to break 100 around 18 holes.

I have been struggling to say the least,
There is a local course where I can sneak out for a quick nine. I started in the 60s then 50s , 49 s 48s and eventually a 46 about 2 months ago. Just when I thought I was getting somewhere it all fell apart and I started scoring high 50s again.

Last week I played with a retired chap Sir 78 years old, . On the first hole I hit ( for me ) a lovely tee shot ( close to 200 m ). Sir 78 rolls up barely a swing and his ball passes mine by about 10 yards

He gave me some valuable advice on my swing, I have since changed my grip, my swing and Saturday got new irons .

I played my first 18 holes on a large course for a while and scored a 55 on the first 9 and a 49 on the back 9. It was the first time I broke 50 in nine holes for some time.
I didnt break the magic hundred but after months of frustration it was a welcome result.

You are 6 months ahead on me in time played, everytime I go out I am sure that is will be the day I will break 100. If it were not for 4 shots to get out of the bunker on the first hole the other day, I would have gotten a 100. Welcome to the board, there are plenty of us here that struggle.
