Hi Dan!
North or South island? I went to the South island a couple of years back. Only for a few days...Christchurch and Kaikoura. Very much like my home - Scotland.
I'm Will, I'm 16 and I play on my school's varsity golf team. My low round in a match this year was 41, but yesterday (off-season) I broke 40 for the first time, making a 15-foot par putt on the last hole for a 37 at our team's home course, the West Course at Myrtle Beach National. I currently use a Stiletto II driver, but I'm going to replace it with a Dunlop Loco Pro driver soon. I use Cobra Scoring Set fairway woods, old Titleist DCI irons, Cleveland Tour Action 900 wedges, and my only putter since I've been competitive in golf is an Odyssey Dual Force 992. I play Dunlop LoCo Pro golf balls and I hit my drives 250-290 and hit my 9-iron 150 yards.

Welcome!
Na im in the north, wouldn't mind visiting scotkand one day.
Greetings Everyone, I guess I'm one of the FNG's here.
I live in a couple of places, but my main home is Miami Beach. I play at Turnberry a bit and at La Gorce because they are about 2-5 minutes from my home.
When I do play, I play fairly true to my handicap on most courses. I've been playing since my 8th year on this world and I'll be 33 in a month, so I've been at it a while.
I do corporate consulting/event& meeting planning and am recently affiliated with my boyfriends company and becoming more involved in private concierge services for him here in the south. He's a yankee and doesn't mind the warm weather here during the winter.Plays to a 2.8 hcp.I've posted some pics of our recent travels and of course feel free to visit our website and see what we do.
Career best round...74.
Average scoring round ...80
Average drive distance...245-255
Best shot making from 125 yds out.
Need more practice at: Putting
**, And I play the 'mens tees' !
Thanks for taking the time to read my profile and posts and the view from all over.

Hello people. Joe here, from Northern Ca. Just found this site and joined. I've been playing for just over a year now. I shoot in the mid 80's to mid 90's as of now. Best round is a 13 over, on two different courses. I have serious issues with my driver swing, it's the most inconsistant thing in my bag. Favorite club is my pitching wedge, and recently I've grown to love my lob wedge as well. Anyway, that is enough usless information about me. I'll be reading and posting often.
Up until this year I had never taken golf seriously. I always played softball during the summers, and rarely found time to golf. This year I decided to quit playing softball, and start taking golf seriously. I started by retiring my $50 set of garage sale golf clubs and get a "real" set. I'm having a hard time adjusting, but there are always those couple shots per round that keep me coming back. Anyway, here are the details...
Cleveland Sport OS driver (Stiff shaft, 9.5*)
Wilson Fat Shaft III 3 & 4 hybrid
Wilson Fat Shaft III 5 - PW
Nike Blue Chip mallet putter
I am struggling with the hybrids, and haven't found any fairway woods yet (can't decide if I want/need them). I haven't broken 100 yet, but am hoping to do so this summer. Thanks for listening.
My name is Nicole, and I have already been publicly flogged by Slingblade for making my first post in the classfied section. Sorry guys. Anyway, I am 33, and have played golf from the time I was 14 to the age of 29. I no longer play, but have daily contact with golfers who call me to book their golf reservations in Vegas. I also caddy occassionally for local amateurs and at Rio Secco Golf Club during invitational tournaments. When I quit, I played to a 10 handicap, so hopefully I can join in on some conversations in here.
Well, after being the tournament chairperson for my women's association for 4 years, and dealing with all the bitching, I wondered...what the heck am I doing?? On top of that, I just didn't enjoy playing anymore. I have been a runner for about 8 years competing in races instead. It is much more fulfilling for me.

Thanks for the welcome.
I'm probably going to meander around this site for a while in a haze or in a daze but if you don't mind me asking...If you quit the game, why would you want to talk about it?Wouldn't you prefer to be on a Runners DB?
Oh well, a 10 handicap is nothing to sniff at. Maybe you should ease back into it again.Play different courses with different people.
