Alright I am either get hammered tommorow or playing golf! I am not wasting a three day weekend! I think it is a 100% chance of t-storms tommorow though . So it looks like I will have to wait until Saturday or Sunday to play in the hot and humid weather of Kentucky (45 degrees)

Howdy all you swingers out there!
I've been chasing and cussin' the little white ball since the early 90's when i was still in high school. I play to about a 10, although i have been known to break 80 when all the stars and planets align.
I have limited list of golf buddies due to the fact that most of my friends have gotten hitched, and started families. A forum to talk strictly golf is new to me and i was pleased to read that alot of ya'll are honest about your on-course activities. I play as a single quite a bit, so knockin' it around with the occaisional stranger is cool, but i always seem to run up on the uptight crowd.
My cooler and stash are standard equipment when i head to the course, however my Cleveland TA5's have been a welcome addition. To all you squares, relax and just let me get stoned. IRIE! Reefer is definitely not skill enhancing, but it eliminates those pesky technical swing thoughts!
Anyone near the Athens, Ga area ever wanna tee it up,[and possibly smoke it down] shoot me an e-mail.

-Jason

Newbie golfer

Hiya all,

Ima 27 year old newbie golfer. I have only just started the past 2 months but can already feel the improvmenets happeneing. I wanted to play golf when I was younger but didnt have the confidence or money to jump in and play. Luckly I found a close friend who had played so we are currently surfing the local smaller courses in need of practise and fun.

Hello my name is Ryan. I'm from Martinsburg, PA. I'm 22 years old. I have been a wannabe golfer for a few years, and am going to get into it for real this year. My company is paying for my membership at our local country club, so I'll be golfing a lot. I'm looking to buy a nice new set of beginner irons, so any recommendations would be great! I'm excited about all of the info that's on this site. I plan on staying for awhile.

After resurecting my golf game within the last year I find myself hopelessly addicted and wondering why I left the game in the first place?

So, here I am surfing and looking around for folks who share a similar interest. Looks like a nice Forum.

Hey guys, I'm Tom and i'm 13. Been playing for over a year and shoot in the mid 90's. I love golf and have become extremely addicted to it. Some of you may know me from GR, but I find this a much more lively site.

Regards~Tom

Hello all,

I just found this forum and it looks like a great place to chat about golf. I am somewhat of a newbie golfer. I just started playing the game seriously this last summer, and have grown to love it. I am currently shooting low 90's or high 80's, but have been consistently improving. My strong point is my size and strength--I am a former defensive end and standing 6'2" and weigh in at 250 lbs. I am fairly consistent hitting 310-320 yard drives with my current driver. Now, if I could just get a short game to match. I hope to be a mid-high teens handicap by the end of the summer. I just got done stocking my golf bag with all the clubs I feel that I hit well.

1) Tour Edge Bazooka J-Max Carbon 10.5 Driver (Stiff, Mid-Kick)
2) Nike CPR 22* and 26* Fairways (Stiff)
3) Tommy Armour 845cs 3-SW (Stiff)
4) Taylor Made Rossa Fontana CGB Putter

Hello from Alabama

Hello all,

I'm 35 yrs old. I live in Alexandria, AL (halfway between Birmingham and Atlanta just north of I-20)

I fly EMS helicopters for a living and helicopters in the AL Nat'l Guard.

I grew up playing golf. I even helped get my high school golf team started. I never was a scratch golfer by any means but I love playing. Especially with my dad when I get a chance. He lives in MS.

Haven't played golf in about 5 years because of the Army and work. But I've just moved here and there are 4-5 golf courses within 10-15 miles so I plan on getting back into it. I really miss playing.

Hi. My name is John. I am 29 and started playing with my dad two years ago. He played for years when he was younger and is hooked again. I am a full time student working towards my MBA in marketing. I have my own transport brokerage business. I only work about 15 hrs. a week so I am looking forward to playing 3 or more times a week this spring.
I am addicted to my driver and it gets me in trouble at least once or twice a round. I avg. about 310-315yds. and have had measurable drives of over 330. I don't keep regular track of my handicap. I did it last year for about 15 rounds and had like a 17.8. I avg. just above 90 and my best score was an 84 last summer.
I currently carry an R7 driver, TaylorMade 200 18* 5W, Sonartec 23* and 25* hybrids, Mizuno irons MRX model, a "custom" A wedge(Nicklaus Golden Bear blade pw I regrooved and bent to 51*) Mizuno Mp 54* SW, Mizuno Black Nickel 60* LW, and a Wilson Prostaff KC putter.

I'm new to this forum as well, my name is Luke. I've always been meaning to join some type of golf forum, because I love to talk smack. Okay, just joking, but I do like to partake in a spirited debate or two. My handicap is finally back under two, and I can't wait for the upcoming summer. I was down living in Phoenix, Arizona for the past 3.5 years, chasing my dream. Things didn't work out too well, as my work ethic was sub-par to say the least. So now I'm back up near my family in Seattle Washington last February, working a 9-5, (DAMN!!). I'm 23 years old, which does leave me some time to give it another go.

The main reason I joined this forum, is to try and help everybody out there get better. I don't want you guys to think that i'm posturing, or trying to be all big-time. I have a passion for golf, and I know there are many people out there who would LOVE to drop that handicap. If you have any questions for somebody who has played high school, college, and lots of tournament golf, feel free to fire away.

Other than that, TIGER WOODS IS THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all,
My name is Ian, i`m 39 and live Scotland, freezing cold most of the year, and i play constantly, when the summer weather hits, i live on the golf course, playing morning, afternoons, when i am not working as a butcher(22 years at it) i also play a lot after work.
I joined a golf club last year, quite posh, but well run, and always a ton of fun, in the last three years the club has spent 3 million pounds on the course and facilities, and the course is now up to USPGA standards, so its a bit of a beast to tame, but playing it on a summers evening is like playing in Agusta, it is really neat.

Now i am a mad Tiger Woods fan, saw him at the Brittish Open 2005 at St Andrews, boy is was scorching hot, so all my stuff Nike, clothes, shoes, gloves, golfbag, everything .

IN THE Bag
Nike Driver 10.5 reg flex
Nike 4 wood
Nike cpr wood 26 degrees (baby nike, cause its small and my absolute favourite club).
Nike slingshots (GREAT clubs, very forgiving, what i need!)
Nike 56 degree lob wedge
Nike blue chip putter
Nike Ignite driver 9.5 ( not in use at the moment)

People can say what they want like about Nike, but the bottom line is that they have seriously spent millions and that included Tiger Woods.
MY favourite moment in golf was watching Tiger Win the open and paying tribute to Jack Nickolas as he sat for the last time on the famous Swilcan bridge on the 18th at St. Andrews, and waved goodbye to the professional golfing world, what a guy, what a Legend.

Cheers
