I suppose I could do this also. Didn't even see the sticky. Bright eh?

Anyway, I live in Minneapolis, MN. I am 33 years old and have a very understanding wife and a son 3, and a daughter, 9 mos.

I used to play a LOT of golf, now I just play some golf. I'm down to about 75 rounds a year. (Mar-Oct) It's still enough to keep an accurate handicap, but it's not like I'm playing every day. This year I will probably play even less. I'm hoping to get in 50 rounds.

I am usually a 6 handicap. I got down to a 4 last year, mid-season. I also ballooned to an 8 in the early season.

I'm tall, 6'5" 250 lbs, and with my length, and playing fairly short courses, I think I should be scratch. I just can't hit short irons with any consistency. I am going to try to change that this year.

I just started building clubs last fall. I have my "shop" all set up and am going to custom-fit myself a set of snake-eyes 600c's. Then I plan on setting up some sets for friends and relatives etc. etc. Should be fun.

Currently, this is what I play:
983K with Grafalloy X (red) shaft 45"
Tight Lies 3+ wood
Hogan hybrid 2-iron
Mizuno MP-33's 3-PW (1 1/2" long 1* up. Done 3 years ago. Doesn't fit new swing)
Mizuno SW 56*
Mizuno LW 60*
Titleist Vokey 64*
Odyssey 2-ball putter.

Too many clubs? I don't carry a 4-iron. I have never found a shot that I couldn't choke down a 3 or step on a 5.

I really like the look of this board, and from my short time here, the people. I play a LOT of tournament golf during the summer, and am looking forward to the little "tourney" we have going on here.

Thanks for having me.

Hello

Hi, I'm a 17 year old Texan, who just recently moved into a "Country Club" neighborhood 1/5 of a mile from the golf course (The house is a parsenge, we're not rich snobs). We moved last summer and I have been able to walk to the golf course and play a lot, at least twice a week, usually more. I hope to work there this summer. I am about a low 20 handicap, i hope to be shooting in the low 80's by the end of the year. I have a slow, smooth, swing, I can hit a long ball, but my weakness is putting. I'm on my high school golf team and can hold my own.
My bag consits of:
Talor Made Burner 420 10.5* Driver
Orlimar trimetal 14* and 20* woods
Ping ISI copy (or clone) irons 3-SW (http://www.bestbuygolfsupply.com)
A Golfmate putter

I recently decided that I prefer Precept Laddie balls.

My other interests include paintball, and a little bit of hunting, but golf is definatly my number 1 "thing."

I will probably be a frequent visiter to this site, see ya around!

Good deal, another Texan. Welcome Copperas.

Does that screen name give away the town you live in?

Been lurking for a month or so, finally decided to join as a reward for my first eagle.

I've played golf since before I was a teenager (about 30 years ago), generally hoving in the 80's - 90's. Never broken 80. Finally decided to try the last year or so, so I've been playing more regularly, especially in the past six months. I've even started trying to learn something about swing mechanics rather than just trusting my own instincts. Who knew there was actually something standardized about this stuff?

I tend to fight a nasty hook. My swing has always been inside-out, but I'm trying to make it more consistent. Things I've read here lately (especially about tempo) have been very helpful.

Currently, I play with:

TM 200 Steel 9.5* driver
TM Fairway Rescue 3 Wood (As yet unhit outside the store - I hope it will replace my old Callaway Big Bertha 3)
Callaway Steelhead 5 Wood
TM RAC LT (2004 model)
Odyssey White Hot Putter

I'm in Montgomery. But I've played your home course once or twice. My parents were members there when my father worked in Vestavia. My parents are retired now and still live there, so I'm in your area pretty regularly.

Something tells me that the odds you are in a bracket are the same odds that David Duval is going to win the Master's this year...

Nah, i'm in. Picked Syracuse too. Bastards!

4 losses so far out of all the games completed. Not bad for a guy that doesn't watch alot of college hoops.

I'm still looking good for the finals, as the teams that have lost so far I had eliminated in the next round anyways.

I'd like to take a minute to defend my team . . . but I can't. What about UAB, though. At least one team from my state knows how to win a game.

And I took a day off from work to watch the Bama game, too. What a waste.

Thanks for the invite, Bravo. I'll have to take you up on that. Pretty close on the age. I'm 45.

I had Syracuse too....I knew UVM had a good team but they really took it to the Orange.

Has Youngun been online today? He probably committed hari kari when they lost. I couldn't believe that one...

Bama Duffer: Good to hear from you and glad you are becoming a regular here...I played this morning and it was nasty out there...drizzly and cold.

Please let me know next time you are in town to see the folks...we'll tee it up.
