Hi. A proper introduction.

Thought I would come in here and properly introduce myself. The name's Dennis and I've been playing golf for around a year now. At least, playing regularly that is. I bought a set of random clubs from a friend last Spring for $40 and I've been playing ever since.

The set I bought was mostly a mixed bag, some good, some bad.

What I was playing with
Drivers:
Ping Zing 2
King Cobra 10.5" M/Speed driver

Woods and irons - Competely random assortment, probably why I sucked.
My favorite iron was a Square 2 three iron I had. Yes, I can hit a 3 better than my shorter distance irons, I contribute that to the short stature of my last set though.

All of my clubs were stolen 2 weeks ago, and I ended up profiting. Who knew a $40 set of golf clubs would be valued at $1200 thanks to the way insurance companies price stuff. After deductibles and all that fancy stuff, I'm getting ~$600 back.

I'm probably going to get a set of Walter Hagen SB3s because I hit them amazingly well last week when I tried them at Dicks sporting goods. $300 on sale, hopefully they'll still be $300 when I get my insurance check. As far as drivers or putters I have absolutely no idea what I'm getting yet, but I can't wait to get back on the course, esp with new clubs. At the digital range I was hitting the hagen 7iron at over 175yds, and consistently straight.
If I can do that next time I go on the course, I can probably get rid of my 20+ handicap.

Hi and welcome Dennis.

I suppose I've never formerly introduced myself really and I know I do many things back to front so it would seem, however, I had better introduce myself just so that you know who I am.

My name is 'Frances' (aka FRAN) and I've not played golf before, however, I have worked at a golf club previously many years ago.

Although I have never actually played the game, I am quite pro golf you could say as a number of people I know actually play the game.

Why you may well ask have I never taken up the game myself. Well, that's because when I was married, I was a busy Mum who was so involved in too many other things, I never really had the chance to even consider taking up the game. I suppose there is time for me to perhaps learn the game in the future so who knows.

Oh well, now you know who I am.
