Hello from Waaaay up north, Fairbanks, Alaska

Hello!
I am up here in Fairbanks, AK. I think I can boast that I'm the furthest North of everyone. We have three courses here, two 18 hole and one 9 hole. The nicest course up here is at the Army base, Ft. Wainwright. It's called Chena Bend Golf Course.
If anyone ever finds their way up here in Fairbanks during the short summer we have, Chena Bend is the nicest course in probably the whole state. It beautiful up here and during the summer, if you don't mind walking, you can play 24 hours a day any time (23hrs of sunlight during the entire month of June).

I am poor (being in the military), so I have cheap-o dunlop irons, which works well for me, but my driver is a bit better, TaylorMade 540. A little older, but I couldn't beat the price and it feels great.

Alaska is truely beautiful. The Yukon too. I would LOVE to get up there someday.

Welcome, I believe you are rivals and may not want to hear this but my sister just finished playing volleyball for anchorage - but I point is that she loved Alaska. Between us I think my dad sent her there so he had an excuse to go fishing.

How long is your golf season last? I guess when it is on you can golf day or night though right?
