That was a facinating game...Appy State has won a ton of games in the past two years. Obviously they came into the game with a lot of confidence in themselves and their system. They have a lot of team speed, and of course Michigan took them for granted. The classic brew for a big upset.

I am glad they blocked the last field goal. If the kid has missed it, he'd never live it down....so he certainly wasn't the scapegoat.

This will be Lloyd Carr's last year. I wonder if Les Miles is on the way to Michigan after this season.....

That just goes to show how worthless polls can be. Give credit to App State but Michigan is obviously a not as good as advertised and they are very poorly coached. If you are Lloyd Carr how do you not get your team prepared for your opening game like that.

There is no way even the worst Big 10 team should ever lose at home to a division AA team let alone Michigan. If I was a Michigan fan or alumni I would want Carr fired right away.

Michigan will be a "hungry" Big Ten opponent as this is all that is left for them this season with 4?? Heisman candidates. Depends how Carr reacts to this loss.

Wisconsin "Big Ten Champs". Either Washington State's offense was highly under rated (could be) or Wisconsin's defensive line is over rated (could be).
330+ yards of balanced offense and 3 touches is too much to give up at Camp Randall with a supposed cupcake opponent. But the students did a great job with their "Jump Around" routine between 3rd and 4th qtrs. What a rush!!!!

Im a big michigan fan, but i only got to see the first half of the game. I think that this has really taught the wolverines to not take anything for granted, and im planning on it showing against the big ten. Then next game is against i think a good team in oregon. Hopefully we can come back and find a way to win the Big Ten, with some key victories against ranked Wisconsin and Ohio State. As for national title or probably getting ranked higher than 5th im doubting it. But anyways... Go Blue...

Oh yeah and seeing the schedule Notre Dame, Penn State, and Michigan state, those victories could propel usssss...

In your opinion is L. Carr's job on the line this season? Personally I think he is a classy coach who has been held to high expectations as the Big Ten reaches more parody. If so what names are being suggested? Glad to see you consider Wisconsin a big game. I believe that game is at your place. Be gracious hosts!!!!
:laugh:I was at Wisconsin when the Badgers sucked. Lost 20 Big Ten games in a row!!!!! Late 1970s to early 1980s. Camp Randall was the largest bar in Wisconsin but certainly a stretch for a place to watch good football. Looking forward to the Wolverine game. Also always like watching the Ohio-Michigan game.

Well zaphod, Michigan Stadium ( The Big House ) i think can fit more people than any other stadium in ncaaf. This should be an advantage as other large stadiums can be, for instance in Tennesse or In Gainseville Florida. Lately, Ann Arbor hasnt really been a scary place to play, and homefield advantage is huge. Also about L. Carrs job, i think it may very well be in jeopardy, because he has not shown up, and michigan hasnt really even been close in the last 3 rose bowls, or i think the last 2 years against Ohio State, I dont know about the coaching job, but i do know that the last time we won a title was 1997, and there probably wont be a very happy 10th anniversary.

Sure didn't scare the Ducks yesterday. Michigan is in a free fall. I don't know if they can go .500 this year.

And my Badgers just did survive a plucky UNLV team.

The Big Ten isn't getting off to a great start this year.
