Who do you cheer for in the NHL?

Well, my Lightning are 3-0. And that's without Dan Boyle (who got seriously jobbed last year by not getting into the All-Star game). The goalie, Johan Holmquist looks pretty damned good this year. The core of the first line (Marty St. Louis, Vinny Lecavier, Vinny Prospal) looks good, and Chris Gratton coming back enhances the team. The second and third lines are questionable, just like last year, so I don't see any strong push deep into the playoffs. I think they'll just barely make it again.

Maybe if a couple of the new guys step up. I liked what I saw of Hlavac in the Panthers game I went to (I know, it was only the 0-3 Panthers). He played with some intensity, and was around the puck a lot.

I always go to at least one of the the Bolts - Sens games each year. It's a benchmark. If the Bolts can beat the Sens, they're playing good hockey. What the heck happened to them last year? They took out the Sabres (the best team last year), for pete's sake, but looked awful against the Ducks. The Sens should be the reigning Stanley Cup champs.

The little bit of the games I have caught had some pretty weak goals.
