I like baseball.

I just don't like a bunch of whiny, SERIOUSLY over-paid semi-athletes pretending that they give a darn about their "team". Or owners (Wayne Huizenga) buying a "team", winning the World Series, then disbanding the "team" the next year.

Give me some parity in the league, along with some contracts that actually mean something, and I might get interested in it again.

Oh, and we've already talked about meaningless records fueled by "P.I.D's"

I'm Bird, McHale, Parish, Ainge, Johnson Celtics fan. I haven't had any interest in the team since but I may perk up some this year...who knows.

I was too, then they sucked for about 20 years. Still a fan, but I was not going out of my way to catch the games. This year should bring back some of those glory days. At least give me a reason to try and catch the games when they are on national TV.

I was at the Boston Garden twice back then. One game a a Bulls snoozer but the other.....Philadelphia 76er's with Doctor J.

I here ya there. I got to go to the Garden during the last year it was open to see a Bruins game. Both Bourque and Neely scored a goal in the game. It was a fitting fairwell to the building for me, the only time I have been in the new building so far is to catch a train.

I grew up in a baseball family. My old man was a semi pro player who was for a brief time in the St louis cardinals minor league system. I was a catcher for a 2 time provincial champion and caught for a national title winning team when I was 17. The game is in my blood even more so than golf.
I have been a RedSox fan since I was about 5 years old. My old man has always cheered the yankees, and I believe my red sox love stemmed from that. It gave us a chance for many heated debates, and imo is one of the memories I will always cherish.
2004 was very special and something I will never forget, this year may mean even more as we would prove that this indeed is the power team of 2000's.
With 2 games firmly under our belts, and the probability of Beckett seeing a game 4 start, and a game 7 start if needed I like our chances.

On my right forearm I have a Boston redsox tattoo (the "B") with the years we won the word series marked under it. I look forward to going under the gun sometime next week to add to this piece.
