I lost all respect for the Patriots after the first game against the Jets. In my opinion their entire season is tainted because of that. One can argue that in the steroid error of baseball, everybody did it so Bonds was on an even playing field with everybody else. I disagree with that argument, but I understand where they're coming from. In this situation however, the Patriots were the only team in the league who tried to "cheat". You cheat, you lose, in my opinion, great team but 'undefeated' season means nothing to me with them.

That's why I love golf, no matter how well you play...if you do something wrong...you get DQed and don't play in the rest of the tournament.

If Marvin Harrison actually is healthy enough to play effectively, I think the Colts and Patriots game will be awesome in the playoffs.

24-21 Colts take it over Pats in AFC championship, and repeat as super bowl champions.

The Pats are not perfect.

They still have 3 games left. Everyone seems to forget that the season means nothing unless you come home with the big prize. There will be more pressure now to win the Superbowl, else they will look like chokers.

I would have liked to have seen Bellichek rest his starters (like INdy and everyone else will be doing tomorrow) take it on the chin and then go on to win the Superbowl.

They're the only team that got caught. They all cheat. It's the nature of professional sports.

Oh my, you cannot actually believe this. Stealing signs is part of every game, and to think that the Pats are the only ones to do it is, IMO, ignorant.

I'm getting really sick of this name calling etc. EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion................that doesn't make anyone ignorant because you disagree. If they're (Patriots) stupid enough to get caught, that makes THEM ignorant. Believe me, when it comes to alot of things, I'M ignorant.

While it would be a bit of a let down to lose in the playoffs, the Pats are still perfect for the regular season. Only two other teams have done that (Bears twice and Fins once) and only one has completed the perfect season with a championship.

Just a reminder, Indy rested its stars in '05 and ended up losing to PIT in the playoffs even thought they had a monster season. I rather see a team play the starters in its last game to maintain its rhythm rather than rest its starters for the majority of the game. I understand the arguments on both sides: rest your players/avoid injuries or keep the rhythm and momemntum. Both sides have their merits, but going into the playoffs with a bye week you would end up giving your players a competitive rest of two weeks which they have not had since July. If you were going into the playoffs without a bye week, the rest your players argument holds more weight.

I must agree with sssmokin. I respect you, Clug. And there is nothing wrong with making an argument. But why call someone ignorant? It serves no purpose other than to incite.

And why do you think the coaches cover their mouths with the play sheet when calling plays? Because some teams have lip readers who can pass on what those plays are. There's spys everywhere looking for an advantage since winning means $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Not to question you're opinion, but do you honestly see anyone that can stop them from going 19-0?

I agree tho, they would have given up the record if it meant a lock on the SB. But I think they have it under wraps anyways.

Any given day. The Pats overcame a couple of tough challenges this year - kudos to them for that. But a call here, an interception there, and those games could have gone the other way. Come playoff time, who knows? I've got to think the Pats are clear favorites to win the Super Bowl, but it takes one loss to end that.
