It damn well should be. I got a straight up bet with some fool too, VT. Easy money! Honestly, how ridiculous do you have to be to bet against the second team to ever go undefeated...

I have $50 on the Giants winning this game straight up no point spread. Would I have made this bet just last week knowing the Patriots were in the Super Bowl? No, at least not without a spread of 4+ points.

I made a $50 that would Patriots would NOT go 19-0 this season, this was when they were 14-0. So effectively, I have $50 on the Giants this game.

I think there's a 55% chance the Patriots win, 45% Giants. I voted the Giants because this is the same situation when the Patriots won against the Rams in the Superbowl. Rams were unbeatable, while Patriots were coming off great playoff wins.

As painful as it is for me to say this being a die-hard Eagle fan...I am rooting for the Giants to win because I hate the Patriots even more with their week 1 antics and attitude.

Giants have about as much chance of winnig this game, as the Red Sox do winning a WS with in the next 100 years.

I NEVER bet on my favorite teams but if I wasn't a Giants fan I would bet that they cover the 12 point spread.

I would have to go with the Giants straight up after seeing their last game. I will certainly be taking the Giants and the spread come Sunday. I can never figure out Tom Coughlin as a coach, standing by and watching the team self destruct like that against the Patriots, but then taking a wild card team to the Super Bowl.

Also leaves a big question mark in my mind about the value of Shockey. I always viewed what he does as kinda honest and motivational. Now seeing how they did without him, I am beginning to wonder if he is just a distraction and not worth what he brings to the team. Then again, since I am a Redskins fan I am glad I will not have to worry about that come next year when he has his first "Media Event", and at this point for the first time would likely take a guy like Cooley over Shockey.

i going with the G-Men.i a Giants fan but also after what they showed me in the last 4 games its hard to pick against them.

i believe there defense is better now then it was in week 17.

PJ i am kinda leaning that way after seeing what Boss has done.i think it has also helped Eli with Shockey out because he is not trying to force him the ball.

i could see the Giants running alot of 2 TE sets next yr.

That is an excellent point. I like Shockey and love the intensity that he brings but Boss has stepped up and played well in his absense. Shockey might have been a bit of a distraction.

The Giants have also become a better team since Tiki retired. They are not as one dimensional on offense and are playing more like a team. I believe Tiki was a distraction also.

Another good point, although I think the real funny part of this is that Tiki may likely contributed more to the team than many realize as a retired announcer. While I think the comments he made early about Manning were uncalled for and he should have kept his mouth shut, I have to wonder if that was not the best thing he could have done for the Giants in making Eli step up in an effort to show that he is more of a leader.

I think criticism like that would likely have far less impact coming from a coach or active player.

good point i think it also made the team come together around him more.

I am taking the Giants for an outright win, but even if they do lose they will more than cover the spread.

Being a Dolphins fan there is no way in hell I could ever pick or root for the Patriots.

The Bears actually went undefeated twice in the regular season but lost the championship both times.

Although I agree, even though I picked the Giants to win there is no way I would make that bet without the points. The only time I ever did anything something stupid like that is when my team is in the game and I would bet with my heart, then I realized later in life there were things called "Bookies", so if no one else would give me points I could easily hop on the phone. Although I have won some pretty ridiculous bets, like when I bet that the Ravens defense would score more than the Giants offense in the Superbowl. Another favorite was betting one year that KC's Defense would have more sacks than the opposing team had points in a regular season game, I think the final was 8 to 7.

If it's close, the Giants have a real good chance. If the Patriots get off to a fast start, it's a done deal. Giants can't come back if they're down by more than a TD.
