March Madness

My favorite time of year for basketball. And I only watch college basketball since that game they play in the NBA is something else (ball hog hoops football).

The teams looking to go far IMHO are Memphis, Duke, UCLA, NC, UConn (two best big men in college), Tennessee, Kansas and Georgetown. Some "maybe" teams are Texas, Wisconsin (if they can get consistent), Indiana, Purdue, Washington State, Marquette (if they ever get back on track) and Villinova. Overated are Pitt, Michigan State, Butler, Drake, Louisville, Texas A&M, Xavier and Kansas State.

Seeing as how I'm from Tennessee, born and raised in Memphis, I'm tickled this year. Memphis' free throw shooting percentage scares me though. Add Ole Miss to my list of teams I look to go deep into the tourney.

Well I think it is safe to say my Illini wont make it this year so I may be inclined to pull for your Badgers.Can't make myself like the Hoosier cheaters ,Dukies or Tar Heels....and as an Illini fan can't like Tennessee cause of the coach so it looks like the Badgers and maybe Texas for me.

Bill never really bothered me much.He was a really good recruiter who left to early.He is quite resposnsable for the only title game my illini have made.That said I still wont pull for the Jayhawks vs Big Ten (unless it is Iowa or Indiana!)

BTW WBL Good win for them Badgers last night!

I can't believe these guys. Wisconsin blows Michigan State off the court committing only 1 turnover and after the game these idiots answer the question "which is the best team in the big 10?". One guy says Purdue and I can't argue that since they beat the Badgers twice BUT the next guy says Indiana. Indiana? The Badgers beat THEM twice. And the Badgers are in control in the Big 10 right now. Michigan State will beat Indiana and shut the one guy up.

Bo Ryan should be elected the coach of the year to get that much out of those guys week in and week out. Imagine if he had some of those HS hotshots the Dukes, UNC and others recruit.

i hope the ku that played k-state last night is here to stay throughout the tourney....if they are, i doubt anyone can hang with them. they play good D, and don't rely as heavily on the 3 as other teams live or die by it, shoot free throws decently too.

should be interesting....everything seems wide open and noone really stands out.

Let the dancing begin. KU is one of the first teams out of the box with a 12:25 tip. Here's hoping they can take it post to post.

This is actually one of the few years where I have not seen a big number of big upset possibilities. Although I do have Pitt taking out Memphis and Texas taking out Pitt and then UCLA, to meet Kansas in the Championship. Yeah, I always pick Kansas, as anytime they lose I am in no mood to still seriously follow the tournament.

The biggest upset picks for me this year come out of the West. Where I picked Western Kentucky to win their first game as a 12, and Baylor to not only take out Purdue, but Xavier as well. I picked a couple 5's beating 4's, a couple 10's, and 3 nines. If I had to go higher than the 12 in WK it would likely be with either Boise St. over Louisville, or Georgia over Xavier, which would play nicely into my Baylor pick. Maybe Siena over Vandy, but I doubt it. Out of 15's and 16's, American is the only I could see putting a scare into Tenn.

Outside of that, my Final Fours usually look like a jigsaw puzzle, but this year Texas is the only team I have going that is not a 1 seed. I usually do good in these, and specifically in the early rounds. But after my performance last year, and even the prior 2, you may be better off getting my picks a reversing them.

I joined an office bracket...i basically put 0 thought into it and i just clicked teams...lol....this should be interesting.
