Boyd Coddington

For anyone that has ever watched American Hot Rod on the Discovery Channel, Boyd Coddington passed away yesterday. There is no news about his death. Has anyone heard about this? I was just watching the end of American Chopper when I barely caught a "In memory of Boyd Coddington". I was shocked, so I went on google and did a search. Man o man...he was only 63 years old.

Anyway, just curious if anyone heard any details.

this is the first I have heard of it, I stopped watching his show awhile back. I was always curious as to why he and Chip Foose hated each other.

Sad day for the Hot Rod industry.

I stopped watching his show because I disagreed with the way he treated his employees, but it sucks that the hot rod culture lost someone like that. I woke up to a text from my dad at like 8 o'clock saying he died.

That sucks. When I had my 99 Mustang Gt Conv. I almost bought a set of Coddington wheels for it...he has some great designs!

Instead, I got divorced and sold the car.

Wheels would've been cheaper, but you can't put a price on happiness!!!

Oh man thats sad I used to watch that show all the time and then I couldn't find it anymore so thats why I stopped watching it.

Chip Foose worked for Boyd Coddington throughout the 90s as one of his senior design and management staff. When he ventured out to start his own business he took most of Coddington's staff with him, hence the bad blood...
