Anyone else get shafted by the refs???

Anyone else pissed at the bull replay call at the end of the steelers game...can't believe it....had a four team parley and waiting for the steelers to cover...no reason to review the touchdown as called on the field...

I thought they did review it and took the Touchdown away???? That was my understanding at least. Even though for the life of me I didn't see a forward lateral.

I think they would see reason because one of the tie breakers for the playoffs goes down to points. It was also initially why they cleared the field, because even though time had expired they would have had to kick the extra point if the touchdown had stood.

Although had they blown the wistle for a forward pass, it would not have been one they could review. Not sure if maybe that was the case.

It was reviewed, and was disallowed because they had killed the play on the forward pass, even though they admitted it was an errant call. Then further stated they hadn't killed the play on the field???

So I guess you could say it was a bad call and somewhat of a Cluster F'

touchdown was the call on the field...replay assistant overturned it and then said he was wrong after the game...

line of steelers was -4 so had the td counted they would have covered...

I agree with it being a really poor call. I've seen more and more and more of these every season. I don't know if the refs are regulated enough. I know some are watched more than others.

Lots o' bad calls, missed called, no calls, whatever. I know they all have a particular job out there. . .but 5 or 6 guys should be able to conference for a minute and go, "Okay, we really screwed that one up, let's fix this and get it right". . .toss a flag, reverse a call. I don't know all the rules so I may just be pissin' in the wind on this one.

not really tim as there was a huge amount of money on the chargers covering the spread...think it contracted from -6 to -4 during the week so the vegas boys probably took a hit on it as they mightn't have evened their books out fully

We overcame adversity. How?

1) DPI??? Are those refs freaking high? That was Offensive Pass! Look at the replays, the receiver actually pushed off of Ike Taylor, not the other way around. So instead of sitting at the 40, they get it a few yards off. Lame. Easy touchdown.
2) Okay, 3rd and goal for the Steelers. Did you see the spot? The ball crossed the field threshold of the endzone while Holmes(I believe it was him who made the reception) wasn't down yet. That was a touchdown. Luckily on a failed 4th, Harrison did what he does.
3) What is up with all the calls? The holding calls were good, but someone said last week, "You can call holding on nearly every play in a game if you want to." Yeah, we were holding, good, we were called, but I saw some Chargers holding that wasn't called. Also, the illegal formation, are they high? It was so close that since it wasn't actually discernable for the announcers, I'm shocked that they wouldn't give the lineman warning, like they normally do.
4) That final play. That was a Steelers touchdown.

If you haven't noticed Tomlin has been furious, and he isn't normally easy to enrage. The NFL sent someone to talk to him between weeks, but they are really going after the Steelers with calls this year.

I saw about half of the game, and outside of the "tuck rule", that last play was easily the worst call I have ever, ever, ever, EVER seen. The ref looked clueless, sounded clueless, and by his call, was clueless.

I watched the game, but don't care about either team involved. That said, I hope someone is investigating that crew, to determine how much they, or their friends/family, had on the Chargers covering. That was one of the most one-sided, and poorly, officiated sports contests ever.

Even the explanation in the ESPN article doesn't come close to washing. They were confused about which pass? There wasn't anything close to an illegal pass on that final play. It's one thing to blow a close call, but it's another to simply make up your own ending to a football game.

We out-drove them nearly 3:1 in distance. We had the ball for nearly 3:1 play time. We saw their end of the field something like 2:1. What's the one outstanding point? Penalties.
