Not at all. No ifs, ands, or buts about it, Wings butchered the Pens on Saturday night. I'm not one to lie and make up stories, Saturday was the Pens own damn fault, but the Pens earned their two wins.

If the refs weren't told by the league to swallow the whistles, Motown is rocking.

Pit has no business being in this series, and would likely have been killed by anyone in the top 4 of the West (except San Jose, who are the biggest bunch of posers ever).

Pens brought it tonight, gritty shut down performance... boring, but classic old school playoff hockey. It must have been a frustrating night for the skilled players on the Red Wings side, Scuderi, Eaton and Gill were all over them, the kind of stuff you can only get away with in the playoffs. I don't like it, but that's what you have to do to win. I really thought I was watching the 07 Ducks tonight.

I'll say, the Pens offense wasn't terribly impressive besides Talbot. Excluding Game 4, that is a pretty true statement for the entire series. However, the defense, specifically tonight and Tuesday, was what it needed to be. Fleury and Scuderi were incredible, playing clutch hockey.

That said, I'm a happy clam.

With one sentence you summed up an entire game. The Pens just didnt give the redwings any rom to move, add in some slow bad ice and it must have been extremely frustrating. This is playoff hockey though, and it works.

In Hossa's defense, he left PIT for DET for less money. They didn't get rid of him, they tried to throw big money his way and he went to a team he figured would win the Cup.

Now, the brain twister is.....would PIT have won if Hossa was still with them?
