Buffalo Bills sign T.O.

Terrel Owens signs with Buffalo Bills to be paired up with Lee Evans. Bills will have 2 very talented wide outs but at what cost. That's not money but all the trapping of T.O. personality. Good Luck.

Remind me NOT to draft Evans next year....

How sad for him.

Re: Buffalo Bills sign T.O.

My deepest condolences goes out to every Bills fan in the country. Just when you thought your management might do something to help build the franchise they go and shoot it dead by signing TO. I don't know how many teams he has to wreck before people realize that an A$$HOLE like that will be an A$$HOLE on every team he plays for, and it will destroy the chemistry of the team while he is at it. I don't know how people can continue to make the same mistakes over an over again but they do, and TO remaining in the NFL is proof positive of that. So good luck Buffalo, and just remember that once you get rid of TO you should probably look to get rid of the idiots who hired him in the first place.

T.O seems way out of place way out there in the Snow. I cant picture him having much success there.

Re: Buffalo Bills sign T.O.

As much as I have always been the critic of TO, can't stand the guy, would not want him on my team, and likely agree with every bad thing that has ever been said about the guy.

I think this is going to work out well for Buffalo at least for this year, if for no other reason, the length of the contract. A one year deal for $6.5 million is the perfect scenario to keep him in check and for him to have a blowout year to prove he is still worth something in the NFL. He opens his mouth, it is not like the prior teams that had to worry about a more lengthy contract to arbitrate. They can basically tell him to go pound sand and boot his butt off the team in a heartbeat. If that happens for a 3rd strike, I think even TO is smart enough to realize that he will likely be committing the rest of his career to a team that will have little chance of ever winning, for very little money. If even the Raiders would have him at that point.

I think it is next year, if they resign him to a longer contract when you will need to watch out. To me this could be very similar to his first year in Philly where he was largely responsible for them going to the Super Bowl. It was the next year when that impact went to his head that he almost single handedly dismantled that team.

That being said, if he has that blowout year, next year I would still only sign him to a one year deal and a bag of peanuts, or tell him to go elsewhere.

Re: Buffalo Bills sign T.O.

Jay has it right also, 1 year 6.5 is worth the shot with T.O. If the dude can catch the ball, he usually ends up in the endzone.

You may need to substitute a bag of popcorn instead of the peanuts. TO likes the popcorn.

I agree that the one year deal is the way to go with TO. Much easier to cut bait if he starts up his antics again. That being said, I still do not think that Buffalo is going to the playoffs with TO. I may bit a bit biased, but I think the Pats will take the division this year (assuming Brady can last more than 7 minutes into the season), Fish will fight for a wild card slot unless they are one hit wonders, and the Jets and Bills will fight for the cellar in the division.

Jets and Bills have too much in common with the Browns and Bengals. It isn't that they are terrible teams, but living in such a difficult division for so long makes it rough. I'm going to miss Cassel from Pats though.

Re: Buffalo Bills sign T.O.

I love the Browns, but what chance have they got with Pittsburgh and Baltimore in the same division? Especially with a washed up RB who averages 2.3 yards/carry. None. Colts won't be the same without Dungy, and I don't think the Pats will be the same either. Jets won't be crap with new head coach. Fish aren't deep enough to overcome injuries. TO will destroy any chemistry the Bills HAD.
