Hall of Fame Announcer Harry Kalas Died at 73

Lost a great one today. I am not a Phillies fan, but he was one of the better announcers I have ever heard. Anyone that has lived even remotely close to Philadelphia at any point would know his voice instantly.

Even non-Philly fans may know his voice from NFL Films and Westwood One. They just announced off a Philly station that he passed out in the announcers booth in Washington and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

    RIP!!!

I spent a year in the Philly area and loved listening to Kalas broadcast games. Great voice and he really knew his craft. Sad day indeed.
