Glad to see him back in the league. Imagine if they can find a way to have him AND Donovan on the field at the same time...actually, him, Jeremy Maclin, Desean Jackson, AND Michael Westbrook on the field at the same time. That could be extremely dangerous.

As a lifelong birds fan I am a little in shock... not sure what to think of it. Obviously he is a one year and done player just to add some temporary offensive firepower while the defense reloads this year.. team option 5 million next year... haha yea no way they are picking that up. I am not one of the crazy PETA kill Vick people, not sure philly was the place for him though. But hey if he does well majority of the city wont care if he kills more dogs

Was thinking this might not be a bad fit for Philly. Was thinking about the old "Slash" days with Kordell Stewart. Worked well until he insisted on being a QB. Although I think Vick is a much better QB than Stewart. I actually think he may be a better option than McNabb, but that is just me. Doubt I would want him on my team, but Philly is used to distractions. :laugh:

Actually, the Redskins did a good enough job creating a distraction this year with their QB already, so I guess they likely could not have been worse off by having Vick.

I am glad that he has signed with a team now I no longer have to listen to the idiot announcers say that Pittsburgh might pick him up. Who in their right mind would ever think that the Steelers an organization with such high emphasis on character would even consider for a second picking up a screw up like Vick. It will be interesting to see what the Eagles do with him. I honestly doubt he will still be with Philly come next year but only time will tell.

Vick will no long be on the eagles next year... simple contract terms. They will not be paying 5 million to him to do a little wildcat all over guy.

On another note Vick is NOT better then McNabb, and they are not really similar at all. Vick is possibly one of the best runners to ever be in the league... but a horrible passer. McNabb is a much much much better passer then Vick, does not have the running prowess though. McNabb only runs when he has too, and I think he doesn't run enough. People always try to group him in with traditional "black" quarterbacks when he really is much more of a pocket passer then others included in that group. McNabb has his short pass accuracy problems but deep ball passers he is among the tops of the league... it will be interestin to see what he can do with 2 burner receivers on the team and vick moving around. Eagles would be a threat this year if the O-line wasnt banged up and if the management didn't throw the defense under the bus.
