Packers 21 - Bears 15

I think cutler completed more passes to the Packs defense than to his own Offense...

Even Favre would have been proud of that appearance.

Personally i thought it was a horrible game...

neither team looked good. They were both making some really big mistakes, dropped passes, bad protection, horrible decisions by both qbacks, the refs were calling some pretty shotty penalties...like the 'illegal contact' on Harris? WTF was that? He barely touched the guy....THAT penalty almost lost the game for the pack...but Harris tells the refs to go eff themselves and saves the game with an interception

I couldn't believe how many Bears injuries there were...and Urlacher is out for what 5 weeks? Big man falls to a simple wrist injury?

Poor showing on both teams AFAIC

Re: Packers 21 - Bears 15

It's the first game of the season, did you watch most of them? Almost every team had those signs of rust. Urlacher out sucked, especially since he used to go to UNM, but the depth of your team is also part of the battle.

Nah, i didn't have time to watch any other games for this week. I barely caught kickoff for this one, and was up way past my bed-time to watch the whole thing.

I agree that first games shake off some off-season rust, but dang...it was pretty bad i thought.

O well, a win is a win. Got to rub it in the face of a couple Bears fans here at work...felt good

Re: Packers 21 - Bears 15

The Bears are a ****ing sad, sad joke.

When they went to the big dance a few years ago, they did it with a defense that was HANDICAPPED by their offense. Rex Grossman is the worst NFL QB I've ever seen, personally. But I'm only 21, so who knows. Jake Delhomme is definitely trying his best to out-suck Grossman.

Cutler, based on everything I've ever seen, including the inside of my mother's womb as an unborn baby, has no excuse for playing this badly. Rex Grossman couldn't make it as an assistant bus driver. But Cutler, WHAT THE HELL? Your team is wearing WHITE!! Again, the Bears' defense is crippled by its absolutely pitiful offense.

Passing game? GARBAGE.

Running game? Fresher GARBAGE.

Offensive line? Cardboard hurdles.

It's an absolute miracle they even have a chance to win against any competent NFL team. If Green Bay was playing at a NORMAL level, that game could've been 77-2.

And I LIKE the Bears. I love the intensity of their defense, especially Urlacher. But this is just ridiculous.

Oh yeah, and let's fake the punt and run it up the middle on 4th and 11. Then let's challenge something totally inconsequential.

Seriously. I've never seen a team try so hard to lose.

Even though i hate the Bears(being a Packer fan its a requirement) but i really like Urlacher's intensity and playing style...but seriously, what a pussy. The man gets a slight injury and he sits out....unless his wrist is broke, he needs to play.

Agreed. Urlacher with one arm is still scary.

If killer, you mean boring.. then yes.. Killer game.

I turned that crap off after the 3rd quarter. NFL is a big yawn usually..

Now.. the Denver/Cinci game was GOOD!

Boring until the last 38 seconds.

Re: Packers 21 - Bears 15

I'm telling ya... I've been watching the AFC West for almost 30 years. Had season tickets to the Chiefs up until last year too for about half those years.

Cutler has a $1M arm and a 10¢ brain. He had the same problems in Denver, flashes of brilliance and streaks of brain-dead play. I wasn't too surprised that he sucked, just that he sucked that bad.

Anyone who wonders why Denver got rid of him knows now...

Rogers threw a lot of good balls to wide open receivers who just flat dropped a bunch of them -- especially early in the game. He sure looks like the real deal to me.

He also overthrew a couple(two at least and i think 3) wide open's that should have been touch downs if he would have hit them in stride...

We had receivers that were destroying the bears corners down field but didn't hit them long range....

He obviously has the arm as he over threw them, but they were about a half second ahead of the receiver.

I don't care for any of the teams. The NFL is just a bunch of whiners. It's worth watching some of the big match-ups.. But none of it's really that entertaining.

I get free tickets from sales guys, and I just pass 'em along to others. I'd rather dig in the dirt than go to a NFL games anymore. It just ain't fun.
