Hole #10, Par 3, 169 yards from white tees, elevated tee box. Not much room for error here. If you miss the green with the tee shot, landing areas are pretty sparse around the green. A short tee shot can easily end up wet; while left, right, or long can end up as unplayable in the thick stuff. This is a much prettier hole than this picture shows. The pond currently has a severe case of surface algae that has developed in the recent heat/drought conditions.
Hole #12, severe dogleg right, Par 5, 536 yards from the white tees. It is the signature hole of the course.

Above picture is from the white tees. A tee shot of 240-270 will put you in good shape making the turn at the dogleg right. Shorter or longer will bring trees into play for the second shot. The fairway slopes right fairly severely toward the woods. The small creek crossing the fairway is close enough to the tees that it doesn't come into play...usually.

This picture is from the preferred landing area in the dogleg, looking toward the green for the second shot. The green can be seen just past the deep shadows crossing the fairway. Careful, there is another creek hidden in those shadows which crosses the fairway about 30 yards in front of the green. It's a down hill shot so the ball can easily roll too far and be in the creek. Distance to the green from this location is 250-270 yards. You can see that a tee shot short of this position would bring the forked tree into play for the second shot. There is some debate around here as to whether the left fork of the tree is dying of natural causes; or if it is being killed by golf balls.

If all has gone well, this should be the view you have for the third shot to make GIR. The creek crossing in front of the green shows up better in this picture. A large bunker can be seen to the immediate right side of the green. This bunker can be double trouble; because the course designer left three very large trees growing in it. The trees are exactly pin high, so Murphy's law may easily apply here. The wood line on the left is not normally a problem; but anyone who tends to pull their shots left may find trouble with the last couple of trees on the point. The fairway slopes fairly severely toward the woods on the right, so a good, level lie for this shot is uncommon.
