video - 3/4 wedge

SwingAcademy.com

Took that on the course yesterday. Really working on keeping the head still and staying connected. Happy with what I see here. I've gotta keep working on it.

ps. swing academy is sweet

Looked pretty good. I use an earlier wrist set and more open to target but narrower stance. I like to take my right hand out of it as much as possible. Did you go left of intended target on that one? Looks from initial ballflight, swing and setup that would be the case. With my swing it surely would have. That's about my trap-draw setup if the ball were off my right instep.

yeah pulled it a little left. was about 12 feet left of pin. thanks man. this is usually how i approach my wedge shots .. slightly open stance, with club syqare to target. works pretty well for me.

I hit a ton of 100yd. shots at the range, the mound is actually dead on 100 to the stick. I hit the SW full and the GW 3/4. I find slightly open and getting that right hand out of it works best for dead at the stick. Anyway, if the left miss is common, give it shot. I like to envision just a left backhand at it, let the clubhead do the work. I also try to make sure to get the divot well after the ball, more spin and a lower trajectory. A mental trick I use to do this is to try to hit it off the 3rd groove up, I think I mentioned this before. You're cap is surpassising mine though so take it or leave it.

LOL at the loafers!
Its a pretty decent swing, would it be fair to say that you stuff a few out of every batch you practice? The reason I ask is that your head comes up very quick on the through swing and that might cause you to hit a few thins.

Please don't encourage him.

I'm all for standing out but..there's a line, and those shoes cross it.
