Cattails at Meadowview - Shot Talk

Played a pretty nice course in Kingsport, TN on Saturday afternoon with my girlfriend. Other than the front 9 where we were behind a slow foursome (I think we were the only two groups on the course) we had the back 9 to ourselves. Two of those guys ran back to the clubhouse between 2 and 3 (while the other 2 were teeing off on 3) so I just skipped 3 all together and got ahead of them. It was smooth sailing from there as we managed a 3:10 round. Anyways, the course was in great shape despite the frigid temps. Saw plenty of wildlife (huge group of large wild turkey) and a buck that proceeded to chow down a few yards from us as we were putting. Only had time to snap a few pics, but the front 9 is more of a links style and the back 9 is up in the mountains. Plenty of water as well and overall just a nice design, IMO. This was my girlfriend's 3rd time on the course so I elected not to keep score, although I had several nice birdies. She had a couple GIRs w/ her 4H on Par 3s and her driving amazed me. I don't try to coach her unless she asks...just let her do her own thing and have fun with it. Here are a few pics.

This was probably my favorite hole. I forget the yardage, but it had a huge elevation change. Of course I had to hit my driver, which was probably a bit too much club, but I managed to land it in the greenside bunker, chip out and 2-putt for par.
