Jeff4i in the National Championship
I walked 18 holes with Jeff's dad (also named Jeff) following Jeff as he played in the final round of the Golf Channel Amateur Tour's National Championship at the Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando.

It was great to meet both Jeff and his Dad. Fine people (and I expected nothing less...) Walking was interesting, since the golfers all had electric carts. We somehow managed to walk fast, keep up and see every one of Jeff's shots up close. Part of it was how well the course was laid out; there was never more than a 50-foot walk from green to tee (except for between nines, and we got rides from the course staff for those.) Part of it was that it was a gorgeous 80º day. If it had been the middle of summer I might not have made it.

Yeah, they had a cart rule where you got penalized if anyone but the players were in the carts, even if you had room. Crazysauce.

Yeah you don't want to know. First 3 days I did really well but the greens ate me alive, and the final day...well just wasn't too much in it the final day.

On a good note, on the Mickey Mouse Par 3 - Disney's Magnolia, has a Mickey Mouse head shaped sandtrap - I got closest to the pin for the entire field. Won a shirt, some other stuff, and a round of golf for 4 at a course which I've yet to decide.
