When i played with UalTim and Eracer down in florida there was a par 3 island green but instead of water around the green, it was sand. First hole i ever got to drive a golfcart through the sand bunker.

Played a few with a lot of waste bunkers like that one. Then played Tobacco Road Down towards Pinehurst, and the entire course seems like bunker with little paths of fairway running through them, and greens in the middle.

So much sand you even drive your cart through the traps.

If you drive the carts through the sand do they have a rake dragging behind? And I thought the same thing about raking them. :dead:

Nope, just think it is their way of saying if you hit it where the carts went, you deserve what you get. About the only other I have ever seen where they had carts in the sand was one that some of the folks from Orlando have played in Timacuan. It was the first time I had seen that and it freaked me out as I had assumed there was just an A-hole in front of us that drove into the sand and swore I was not going to help him out.

I actually wouldn't mind that one bit. Providing I have a full yardage and no lip to get in the way, I'd rather hit from the sand than the fairway. It's easier to spin the ball.

I'm dead serious. A fairway bunker is the easiest shot in golf providing it's sitting up. I'd hit my driver out of that one. Maybe I'm just an oddball. I also never take relief from a dirt cart path, why would I, there is no better lie without a tee.

Im agreeing with EZ, I much rather have 210 to the pin, over water from a bunker then a touchy shortsided explosion shot.

and even worse for poor Stevo, is that he has incurred penalty shots for grounding a club in the bunker!!

    Strickly by the rules like...
Doctors say that you should eat 5 pieces of fruit or veg a day to remain healthy. Last week I ate 5 mouldy plums and that night I shat the bed. What's healthy about that?:shocked::shocked:
