Nice pics of Portsalon, bringing back great memories. Agree with you about 2nd hole. I managed a drive and 4 iron (both nailed) to leave an easy par. However coul deasily see a treble going on the card.

Portsalon is one of the unsung gems, and that 2nd hole is just amazing.

As for Ballyliffin, Stanters, you could take a three iron off the tee on numerous occasions as there are several curving doglegs (all right hand) where a drive could stuff you in the rough. Mind you, it might be more preferable to the bunkers!

Thanks man! I went to Waterville in 2005 and have been trying to get back since. Skellig Bay hadnt opened yet, but we played Waterville, Tralee, Ballybunion, Dooks and Lahinch. Best golf trip ever....
