Great ball at a great price. I would buy more if I did not already own 16 dozen Stratas.

I really like the ball also, it was my last set at $14.99. Still have the 6-7 dozen Slazengers, although I may have to pick up some more of these if they are still on sale when I go by Golf Galaxy next time.

Brings up an interesting question that I meant to ask Tim. What do you think of the D2 compared to these. I was always partially fond of the Stratas but hated all prior TF's?

I like the D2. If I was not so heavily stocked in Stratas, I would be buying the D2. That being said, my swing speed is probably not quite enough to take full advantage of a tour level ball. I have been playing them for the feel and I did gain some distance over some of the earlier models of soft 2-piece balls. I believe the D2 would allow me to gain some more distance while maintaining the short game feel of a 3 piece. It works for me.

Thanks! Maybe if I pick up more Stratas, I'll get one of the D2's to compare side by side.

I figure by the end of this year, the D2's will be dirt cheap and the Strata's will be harder to find. I have always usually stood by 3 piece balls, but the Slazengers I have are O.K., but it is the first set of 3 piece balls that I have run across that I really see no big difference. They were great for $10, but I would have gladly paid $15 for the Stratas. I may start using them as my water balls, and my water balls as regular to get rid of them faster. I see no real difference in play between them and a good 2 piece. For whatever reason, most of the Maxfli 3 piece have not been on sale for a while. Still hoping they come out with a new one and lower the Black Max, which is down to $24

Are they anything like the old Tour Ultimate or Tour Ultimate 2 ball? Those balls were kick azz.

I believe they were the next generation after the Ulitmate/Ultimate 2 line. I like these better than the Ultimate 2's I had.
