Dumbest Golf Commercials

I just had to start this. The one that just kills me is the Slazenger golf ball commercial with the "pro" (expression like a vampire in need) going to a meatmarket to get his balls from the butcher who asks "are you hungry again"? Duh. Well, quit losing all these balls stupid!! Then they go in the back past a panther (???) to where the butcher has a bunch of random balls stashed. Double duh!!

What is your favorite "DUMB" golf commercial?

I saw one one on the golf channel the other for I think the "hammer" driver. was telling how the aerodynamic design created an area of low pressure behind the club. I cannot figure out why I would want low pressure behind the clubhead.

I like the one for HBSC banking (i think), the first guy up gets an ace,and has to buy the other 3 players expensive gifts, electric trolleys, gold watchs, etc, the next day at the same hole he aims well left, and bangs it right into the trees, only for it to bounce off the tree onto the green, and hangs on the cup edge, the 3 guys sulk, then the ball drops, hurray shout the 3 guys, and the other players face is a picture.

I mentioned this before, but I always watch that stupid commercial. Low pressure, like in water, is just a function of faster moving air. Faster moving air behind the clubhead helps with...well...it improves the flight of...actually...it forces that faster air back to the grass and...nah it doesn't matter.

It wasn't dumb, but I loved it.

The one where the guy hits something like 12 balls trying to get on the green, and the first 11 go in the water. The funny part: The last 10 balls were his partner's.

I agree with WBL. Its gotta be the slazenger RAW commercial. Worst commercial ever.

May as well have a guy hit a boulder then a slazenger and just say "exactly the same". Thanks, but no thanks.

I tend to think that any of the commercials for Dick's are pretty stupid. But that new Slazenger one is right up there with the worst.

The new Sumo2 advert is interesting - I realised today that amongst all the moody camera angles, clever square-theme styling, and usual Nike marketing flair, the commercial *doesn't* have the sound of the club when it hits the ball...

Interesting. Low pressure behind the club. With an airplane wing, the low pressure is created above the wing as the wing shape accelerates the relative wind which decreases the pressure above the wing creating a vacuum which sucks the wing and all that is connected to it up creating the lift component and allows the thing to fly. Assuming that the "Hammer" is creating a low pressure area behind the club as stated, wouldn't that actually be creating force in the opposite direction than desired and actually sucking the club head backward which would decrease your swing speed and cause shorter drives?

I can't think of any I didn't like and I haven't seen the Slazinger one. I kind of like the one where the woman is pounding out balls at the driving range, banging them off the mower of the greenskeeper........then off his car as he's going home, then off his house, etc. Cracks me up.
