Did anyone see the close up of the split cav irons tiger was using on 16? I think I almost lost all control if my bodily functions when I saw those. I wish I could find a set to ho !

Agreed, I actually went back and looked at the shot on 16. I now know why I missed his "new" irons. Its cuz they are not new, they are the same Mizuno Mp-14's that are stamped with the Nike logo that he has used all along

Just like the set he had before nike were the Mp-14's stamped with the Titleist logo...

PS-I could be wrong with the edition of mizuno blades, he has basically used the same style set since high school. At least thats what he said in Golf Digest or Mag, one or the other.

thats what they are. i beleive they are: mp 14 2-5i, and mp 29 6-pw or something like that. same irons hes had since his amatuer days.
hell look at what he does, why change what works ?

God I just dont know why I thought they were split cavs. Pretty weird sorry about that guys. Wait didnt Stites make him Mp-14 replicas yet with a better forging that was the word around the nike camp and I know alot of nike guys!

They may have slight improvements over the old Mp-14's but that is the basic design. The lofts of Tiger's clubs are old school too, meaning his PW is about 49* maybe even 50* and his 6i has the loft of some of our 7 or even 8i's.

All things being said, of all the sticks Tiger has played his Nike blades are IMHO the sweetest looking. I almost bought a set about 3 yrs ago, took them to the range and that delusion went out of my head. I definitely dont have the game for those sticks...
