Also the second straight time I almost got drilled in the melon by an errant drive standing at the same tee (#7) waiting for the fairway to clear! I'm gonna bring a little brain bucket just for that tee box!

Plus, today it took over 3 hours to make it through 10 holes. I quit after I holed out on 10. Stuck behind 3 SLOW four-somes. I shoulda just skipped a few holes and got in front of the bunch but I never did.

On the good side of today...

I hit a legit 300 yd+ (if declared yardage is to be believed) drive. 309 to center of green and the ball ended up a foot off the front of the green. No range finder to verify but I'll take it

First birdie ever, on a par 4, same hole I drilled that drive on.

Tomorrow we have a 7 AM tee time, first of the day, so at least we should make it around in pretty good time.

Got 18 in yesterday and 18 in today. Today was decent. I ended the front nine (46) with a birdie. Perfect drive, wedge to one foot of the pin. That got me going for the back nine (42) and only two doubles and a few pars. It's starting to come around.
