King Par is an unknown quantity at this point
2nd Round of the Season

Well today was my second chance to get out on the golf course, so I jumped at the chance. As I just got in my new-to-me King Cobra irons. These irons are AWESOME by the way, I love these things.

The course is a 9 hole, par 27 course. it's the only course close to me, that I can go to on a week night, so I have to settle for that.

The round began with a 104 yd. Par 3. I topped a ball about 50 yards, not very happy. Then managed to get a bogey on the hole.

I finished +9 on the course, managing 2 pars, 5 bogeys, and 2 double bogeys.

I was really happy with the way I played, considering this is my second round of the season and first round with the new irons.

I tried out the Top Flite D2 Distance and am absolutely in LOVE with the ball. I used it for all 9 holes and there's only one tiny scuff on the ball. I will write a review about it after my next round. I shot a Callaway WarBird along with the TopFlite when I could. What I noticed is the Callaway is more of a "up and down" ball. There's no real flight.

My only problem so far is chipping and putting. I three putted twice, two putted five times, and one putted twice. So it's not too shabby, but not where I want to be. I'd be happy if I could eliminate the three putts altogether. A couple more hours at the putting greens should help that.

Self-delusional quote of the week...

Just joking. Which Cobra irons did you get?

Yeah, notice I said HELP, lol.

I got some older ones, not sure how old, but they work fine for me.

Got them from E-bay for $82. . .I was expecting to pay more as I was outbid on a set that went for $200 and they were identical.

I'll probably only play these for the rest of season, then pick up some more decent clubs as I get more in to it. It's May and I've already golfed more than I did last year. I only went one round last year. . .

Awesome irons, I used to have a set like those and loved them.

got my first round in it was league night.my first shot was much like yours KP.
30 yds into the drink never got off the ground.ended up with a 10(highest possible during league play)+5 doubled the second and trippled the 6th.

but finishd par-birdy for a 48.coulda been a 46 but putter was a little shaky lipping out 2 other par attempts.

so other then the first and 6th holes i was satisfied with the results.
