My first round of golf I played in sneakers.
I didn't own any golf gear whatsoever.

Then the guy who introduced me to this sickness
gave me his old golf shoes.
After about 6 rounds I finally asked him,
"What are the spikes for?"
He just laughed!

I guess a player like me needs all the traction I can get,
climbing out of all those bunkers!!!!!!

hahaha! Yup I was about to say you get in those bunkers without golf shoes. If you dont like the idea of orthopedic look-a-likes then go out and buy the Nike Shox with the spikes on the bottom or go get Footjoy's Beach sandals

I always have, I think.

On rare occasion perhaps not, but I make a habit of wearing them

The only time I'm swinging a club and not in golf shoes is in a retail store like Golf Galaxy. If I'm at the course, I'm in spikes.

I have worn golf spikes in the past but dont now. I can only recall one time when I felt a foot slip. If you are balanced and swinging smoothly why are your feet trying to move so much. But I am also usually broke and cheap

I play in normal shoes, but am currently looking for spikes. I notice my feet slipping more and more.

I don't know why but my right foot wants to push back when I swing and on a wet course it's hard to swing.

It's hard to find golf spikes for me though. Anyone know who sells size 14.5 golf spikes?
