I heard on the radio today that on the LPGA if you get a sponsor exemption and you shoot an 88 or higher in a round you can’t get another exemption for a year. I guess her manager came over and talked to her right before she withdrew.

What I LOVED about it was that it was here PUBLICIST that pulled her off the course.

I guess the LPGA has an "88" rule that states if you shoot 88, or worse obviously, during a tournament round you are forced to WD and are not allowed to play anymore LPGA events that year. Yikes.

14 over with 2 to play is a little too close to the number for her publicist I imagine. Considering that Sony, Nike, etc. etc. would only have her in the spotlight of the John Deere Classic the rest of the year, I'm sure they would start wondering why they are paying this gal $10 Million a year if she's not even allowed to play LPGA.

On the plus side, if she flies home tonight, she'll be able to graduate with her class. Which is what she should have done anyway, considering she hasn't played a tournament round for what, 5 months?

The rule states that any non-LPGA member, they could have qualified for the event or be given an exemption, who shoots an 88 or higher is not eligible for any LPGA co-sponsored event for the rest of the calendar year.

she said the she is going to stay and try to work some kinks out but if her wrist swells up or hurts worse she might fly back to graduation.

Funny that she had to WD after 16 holes, but plans to spend tomorrow on the range trying to work on her game for next week.

I think that she is a good player but she is rushing into things. i know that the only way to get better on the lpga is practice and experience but at her age she needs to be doing things like hs graduation and proms and things because they only happen once and when she is out of school years down the road she will regret it.

She carded a 10 on a par 5 I believe. One of the golf mag suggested that

she really doesn't like golfing and or practice for a profession. Which is

I think she should just finish her college course then concentrate on the LPGA tour. After/If she gets lots of tourneyment experiance/wins under her belt if she's finding it all a bit to easy then try playing in a mens event again.

I thought after the Hawai Sony Open when Tad Fujicara (ish) played on a sponsers invite and was in contention after 3 rounds & after she missed the cut with her invite, that she would have gone away and had a serious look at herself & realise that she needs to improve at least another 50% before accepting another invite to a mens Tourney. She just keeps embarasing herself and proving Vigah & all the other knockers right.

It was on the news last night that Leadbetter suggested that she forget the men's competitions, and that her response is that she won't be told not to do that, and that she would do whatever she pleases and still enter.

That just about says it all.
